the blog.

it's... a blog (who'd of thought)

Welcome to the beginning of something!

Now, there's probably some better way to start this, but I truly have no idea.

Pretty much though, this a blog about basically whatever comes to my mind, hence the very generi-, sorry... inspired name.

I'm most likely going to be writing this in the style of a journal, with the entries ordered from oldest to newest instead of the other way around.

On another note though, I really hope I actually keep this blog up. I've tried so many times to start things like this but have never truly been dedicated enough.

...I have absolutely nothing else to say, might try adding a song to every entry on here?

In that case, here's the first one: Dear Child (I've Been Dying To Reach You) – Anthony Green

...but I have nothing to say.

See, that's the main reason why I haven't started anything like this before, a lack of ideas. But, I personally think that's a really dumb reason for not going ahead. Sure, there's the people saying things like “write what you know” and whatever else, but the question is “what do I know?”

I mean, I've been trying to write a novel recently, getting writer's block after every single chapter is kinda awful and I still barely know where I want to lead the plot of it.

But, of course, right here, writer's block strikes once again.

I do wish I could help it, but I truly can't. There's so many random slivers of an idea in my head that randomly appear in such a way that I can't make any cohesive thought without going further and further down a rabbit hole of how to make it all work.

I guess that's it for whatever weird, in-cohesive rant I just wrote though, here's the song for this entry: Writer's Block – Just Jack

Technology as we know it is getting worse, and everybody knows it.

More and more people are becoming absolutely glued to their phones, and there's no avoiding it.

So, I'm letting go of my Pixel 7 Pro for a while and switching to a “dumb” phone.

But, they're definitely far from dumb, especially as you see more and more people consuming content that's being force fed down their throats as if we're cattle in a feedlot with the supply being akin to a truly bottomless buffet with soulless machines generating and generating just so some sleazebag of a person can try to make what they call an honest living.

This will definitely be a struggle in the beginning. However, considering that the only real app I need to add to any phone is a way to listen to music (in my case, Tidal), I think I'll make it through.

That being said, I definitely am not going fully without a “smart” phone as the “dumb” phone of which I picked runs the open source (luckily degoogled) version of Android 10 due to needing certain Android apps such as Tidal and my banking app.

Anyway, I'd say that's enough rambling for right now. Happy Juneteenth to whoever is reading this.

If you're wondering why this entry took so long, I dropped my laptop onto concrete and it is now in the shop, so I have to rely on an old HP thing that is slow even with an install of Alpine Linux and LXQt for the moment.

(Shout out to my laptop company for giving free damage protection for a year also!)

With that though, here's the song for right now: End Of The World – The Living End
