Alright, I didn't want to make this. But here I am!
The world as we know it is slowly getting worse and worse, going towards a sad reality in which movies such as Wall-E and Democracy are becoming truth and not fiction.
This is a timeline where: The President of the United States is a rich man who puts his own gains before himself, lying through his teeth in order to save his reputation.
This is a timeline where the People are using A.I. as an alternative to their own creativity, even using it for “evidence” when that “evidence” will never be stable due to the way of which A.I. models are trained, even going so far as to develop entire programs with it with little to no regard as to how making security infrastructure like that is a horrible idea and then being amazed when their entirely vibe coded authentication server is breached.
Someone of which I know gives their medical records to ChatGPT and similar programs to check if they are doing well health wise, and when confronted over how risky putting that data in the hands of A.I is even without mentioning the potential inaccuracies from it, they simply stated “I don't care”.
We are becoming so utterly lazy as a species that some of us have stopped cooking meals for themselves and instead switched to paying someone to go and get food for them because they can't be bothered to even get off their couch like an oversized toddler. With that in mind, I'm not stating that having fast food or using a meal delivery service every once in a while is an issue, but that depending on them for stability will eventually lead to a loss of ability.
But now, there's another issue: ID Verification.
Platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, and... certain websites are needing to verify your ID or scan your face in order to let you access their platforms. This is not just age verification anymore, this is purely just data collection at its finest. This is corporations trying to get as much control over you as possible in order to make you submit to any of their needs.
I don't want to have this bleak of an outlook on life, but I feel I have to at this point.
I see people driving while completely enveloped in social media at the same time, putting themselves and others at risk.
I want to do something to help the world at large, but it feels as if everyone around me is willingly trapping themselves into a soundproof box to block out the truth.
I feel I have made my point and have nothing else to say. This site has no trackers or ads or any garbage, so if any of you want to donate just to tell me that I'm doing something right and should keep writing, feel free to give me Monero with my address at: 4989oR6hhoQNje7oxEv81vGXtwoGbDSuUhB6CrMwDdqnhRePGmG5qdm2Lc41aWgLKVMB6tzWAf81uRbwbDUDyTfjL27rJch
That's about all, hope whoever is reading this has a good rest of their day.
Oh yeah, here's the song for today, really wish I hadn't used the last entries one since it would fit perfectly with this, but here it is: A Better Place, a Better Time – Streetlight Manifesto
